Character - Cornelia
Series - Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Variation - Dark Beauty

Inspiration - I have always love Shadow Hearts, ever since playing the prequel, Koudelka. When Shadow Hearts: Covenant came out, I immediately fell in love with Cornelia's character (even though she is just a marionette).

Motivation - I love lolita-inspired dresses. The Dark Beauty version was the first outfit I got for her. I never thought I would find good reference images of this dress until I found the official artbook. I paid a handsome price for it, $78 eek! This shoot was taken at a cemetary, which is very fitting for the theme of this game.

Construction - I used a black satin for the main fabric, and blue satin ribbon for the lacing. There's about 40 silver grommets used in this dress. The bodice is self-lined, and the skirt is actually double-layered. I had to make most of the ruffles on the top layer of the skirt by hand, as well as the sock toppers. It is nigh impossible to find black lace anywhere. Ringlet wigs are very hard to care for. I have to be careful not to damage the curls everytime I wear this wig. Overall, it took me about 2 and half weeks to make this because I was so short on time.
